Those who responded to the Good News
A seven-year-old boy came forward and stood in front weeping throughout the invitation. God did a great work in his heart that night and a few days later, his father said that he has noticed a change in his son.
A sixth grade girl came forward and the Lord was visibly working with her. The girl said, “I want to change the things that I’ve done that are totally wrong.” That day she found new life in Christ!
A teenager girl had been to youth group and heard the gospel before, but never trusted Christ. At the invitation, she went forward with a couple friends and her eyes filled with tears as she gave her life to Jesus.
God was also at work changing families. Two sisters came forward and gave their lives to Christ. Also, a brother and sister came together and surrendered to Jesus.
One girl, after she turned to Christ and finished with the counselor, went to her mother, gave her a hug, and said, “Mom, I am sorry for all the bad things I have done.” The mother embraced her little girl barely being able to respond.
Comments from Pastors and lay leaders
“I must confess that I have some problem with rock bands. However, after seeing all the activities and the reaction of the younger people, I softened some. It was a thrill for me to see the numbers go forward when the call was made. I was impacted by the fact that there was a revival in the county.” Gary Oetinger
“The LifeFest was a wonderful opportunity for our congregation to partner with others in reaching people for Jesus Christ. This was our greatest hope and prayer that sinners would come to Christ. And God did just that.” Pastor Dwight Diller
“LifeFest was definitely an answer to prayer. Much hard work went into making it all happen, however you could definitely see God's hand in how it all came together. I believe it was being obedient to the Holy Spirit that enabled us to see the results we did.” Pastor Gale Lund
